Newly Qualified Nurse - Unable to get job - HELPPP!!!😭

Hi,
I’m a newly qualified adult nurse and I finished my course officially on August 2025. Since then, I have been looking for nursing jobs and at first even when getting rejections or not hearing back from any job applications, I thought it was because of me not having my pin. Now I have my pin since October 2025 and still I am having a difficult time hearing back or just facing rejection emails, I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I know currently there’s a shortage of newly qualified nurse jobs due to funding issues but honestly I’m so worried and tired. Also with some luck, I found like 2 jobs that said they accept newly qualified nurses but I haven’t heard back from them and I am worried again, I didn’t get it. I haven’t even been called for a job interview 😭 I just don’t know what to do, my parents are pressuring me and my mum is super worried about me not having a job, I’m even more worried. I just don’t know what I should do. I also don’t want to do masters just for the sake of it. Please what should I do, please advise me!!!🥲

Context every ward manager you had a placement with, and make clear that you are flexible about how many day's work you get. You may need to take HCA back work, much more likely to get a nurcing job if they allready know you.

What parts of the county are you looking in?

(Many hospitals are not filling posts when staff leave as they can't predict what funding they will have and how much the doctor's strikes will cost them. Then they will in a few years time have to spend lots of money on agency nurses.)

I have e-mailed the practice development nurse team at the hospital trust I did my placement at through the 3 years and they replied to me saying that they were presenting a paper to the committee asking them to allow newly qualified nurses to join the trust's bank and be supported with preceptorship, but it's been a while since then and I am guessing it didn't go through. I have also contacted my management placement who did say in a few weeks they might release one band 5 nurse job but I have been constantly checking the hospital website and again nothing. I am currently looking for jobs in London. How can I do hca work? Cause my uni said that once you are registered, you aren't allowed to do hca work.

Try Cambridge hospital, also other hospitals that are just outside of the London allowance area.
