Pharmacy work experience/volunteering

What would a 17 year old volunteering at a pharmacy be asked to do/expected to do?Would they be able to hand put medication to members of the public or just organise stuff. If someone has volunteered please tell me about everything you did

At 17, volunteering in a pharmacy is usually about supporting staff, not giving out medication. Tasks might include organising stock, checking products under supervision, helping with customer queries, tidying, and doing basic admin. You won’t be directly handing out medicines.

Hi,

As a volunteer, you’d mainly be helping with dispensing, organising stock, shelving, and general support tasks in the pharmacy. You wouldn’t be expected to hand out medication to the public or deal with over-the-counter requests, as that’s the responsibility of trained staff. You could ask questions about the processes if you were interested.

Hope this helps,
