hey guys, mclaren recruiters actually came to visit my uni & i asked them about the process & response times since i also applied very early on for one of their schemes and heard nothing. the woman there told me that they manually go through applications & there’s not any online testing, they just shortlist and go straight to interviews! this initial part takes a while, so we’re likely to hear back more around the dec/jan time.

Oh that would make sense. Really helpful, thank you!

Though, quite surprising a company like McLaren are not using AI, IoT for their recruitment process! I am not complaining.

I’m really sorry to hear about your rejection ☹️ Thank you for sharing though — did you happen to get a confirmation email when you first applied? I never received one, so I’m just trying to figure out if that’s normal.

Its ok, wishing you the best of luck with your application! Yes its normal, I didn’t receive a confirmation email either so I was a bit worried at first as well😅however if you login into the mclaren jobs portal it will say that your application has been submitted on your profile
