Art gcse final piece

I’m doing my gcse art with AQA exam board. For a bit of context my theme is flora and fauna and my final piece design is a rib cage with birds on- this is a very basic description but it looks better than it sounds I promise.
For this, I’m planning to use fine liners (the background will likely be book pages).
Will this be enough though? By which I mean do I need to use other mediums or more ‘impressive’ mediums.
I’m awful (I cannot stress this enough) at painting and pastels etc, my abilities lie in pencil and pen but I’m worried that presenting my final piece in only this media will look tacky or not show enough skill.
Do I need to use another media? Could you recommend any?
Thank you

Your idea sounds really strong and fine liners over book pages can look great if your composition is clear and detailed. You don’t have to use painting or pastels if you’re not confident with them.
If you want to add a bit more depth, you could try light watercolour washes, coloured pens for small accents, or subtle collage elements. The most important thing is to make your final piece polished and thoughtful rather than using lots of different mediums.
