Which subjects are best for Fashion Design?

Hi! I'm in Year 10 and I'm interested in Fashion Design for university. Can anyone share which A-levels or BTECs are most useful, and if there are any subjects I should definitely pick or avoid? And I also wanna do psychology, photography, chemistry, biology, physics 😊 Thanks!

A creative subject will be helpful to build a portfolio so its advisable to take one imo 🙂
Other than that you can basically pick what you want, although its maybe worth checking some requirements for courses you want to do in the future, youve got plenty of time to think about it and look at different options!

Have you looked at the 'entry requirements' for the sort of courses you want to do - this will state any essential of preferred subjects.

Its also worth looking at taking a 1-year UAL Foundation in Art and Design (FAD) course between school and Uni - this will give you exposure to a range of art-forms/practices, and the best facilities, resources and staff expertise to devise your portfolio. These courses are available at many local colleges and some Universities, and are the most common route for applicants to all sorts of Art/Design courses. Examples :
UAL Art & Design Foundation… | York College & University Centre
Art & Design Course - UAL Foundation… | Arts University Plymouth
