Uni pls help me pick

I am from London and I want to go to the University of Cardiff or Bristol for Mechanical Engineering. I know that both are highly ranked for engineering. However, Bristol is ranked higher than Cardiff. I’m not sure which one to choose because I come from a low-income family. The accommodations in Bristol are too expensive, especially since I want my own en-suite, whereas Cardiff’s prices are much more affordable. Additionally, I have a few uncles living in Cardiff who have their own businesses where I could work for some extra money. On the other hand, Bristol has a higher ranking for engineering. So, which one should I pick?

Bristol is stronger from an employability perspective, In all honesty i would not let first year accommodation dictate your university choices, often times cheaper less luxurious halls are by far the more sociable ones. It’s really about your memories and friends not if you have a bathroom and an extra 6 inches of mattress space.
