UCAS - Application reprocessed

I was rejected from Manchester (PPE) for ‘not meeting the academic requirements’ but my predicted grades matched the one required (A A A). So I emailed the admissions team and received the following email back.

Many thanks for your email and I apologise for any confusion caused.

Your application has been re-processed and you will receive an update in your UCAS track in the next few days.
Any ideas what this means for my chances?

Sounds positive! If they’ve reprocessed your application, it usually means the rejection might’ve been a mistake or they’ve decided to look at it again. In most cases this leads to either an offer or being put back into proper consideration. Keep an eye on UCAS Track it’s definitely better than a straight rejection. No one can say how much of a chance you have though but it does sound like you have a good chance!

Depends why you are thinking of switching. Do you think you might still accept Manchester if they gave you an offer now?

Yeah also hedging my bets, not sure whether the risk outweighs the gain, when I’ve already been rejected

I would say you are still in with a fair shout. Working in admissions, I probably would not have bothered to reinstate an application if it was very poor.

No guarantee of an offer, but you obviously meet some threshold for consideration.
