Hi everyone,
I’m preparing for my Sixth Form interview at CH and was wondering if anyone could share their experiences with the types of questions asked. I’m particularly keen to know:
General interview questions - What kind of personal, motivation, or school-life questions do they typically ask?
Subject-specific interviews - I’m applying for History, Politics, and Psychology. Can anyone share the types of questions, topics, or discussion styles they encountered for these subjects?
Any tips, example questions, or insight into how the interviewers approach both the general and subject interviews would be really helpful!

Hi Just finished from this silly school this year I was in the same boat as you like 2 year ago your interviewer will probably be someone who teachers a subject you want to do. I remember the questions were very unique I thought I wouldn’t get in. One was like best memory? Time in a conflict? My interviewer was the head of physics and I’m surprised I got in considering that I HATED me in deps😂 For you anyone you could possibly get would be fine apart from the head of history that man is allegedly evil. If you go in with a clear plan on what you want to do in the future (idk if you’ve done your interview) you should be fine. Ngl the time of people who joined my cohort were unique so uh

Hi I had my interview yesterday and I had a music teacher. Everything went well except for the conflict question where I lowkey waffled and didn’t properly answer the question. Do you think i still have a chance?😭

omg if you had Mr Bartlet (forgot how you spell he’s name) he’s like very friendly and head of chapel choir you should be fine that man LOVES TO TALK. Idk about the other music teachers. But you should be fine. How many people were at the interview because they usual pick like 10-15
