Predicted grades for LSE/Imperial

I want to apply maybe LSE maths statistics and business in the future, and if my predicted grades were Maths A* Economics A* Further Maths A Politics A, would my chances of getting in be decent assuming I had a good reference and good supercurriculars, or is the A* in further maths pretty non-negotiable to be competitive for this course? Same questions about Imperial econ finance and data science.

Thanks.

For LSE, the personal statement and GCSEs usually carry greater weight, and LSE specifies that the A* will be in Mathematics, whereas FM is expected to be an A. For EFDS at Imperial, the A* in FM is not specified, but yes, in both situations, it would be more competitive to have the A* predicted in FM, but other factors will also be considered.

Yes, what I'm worried about is I looked at the offer database on chatuniversity and SO many successful applicants have like 4A*s some I'm worried that even with good supercurriculars (There's someone who I'll talk to who is a foreign politician and has a background in the country's monetary policy, and I'll talk to an associate banker), a good reference, and a good ps the lack of an A* in fm when so many others have it is a worry to me.

My GCSEs by the way were 9999999977, with 9s in physics and maths.

it’s not exactly down to how impressive your supercurriculars are but how you’ve engaged with them in your personal statement, which is what both universities want to see. You had top GCSE grades which should assure your unis. Although chat university’s database does give you a sense of what they’re looking for, it can be edited by anyone, and therefore it’s not entirely accurate. Is there any possible way to get FM bumped up to A*

What do you think I should say to my teacher if I want my predicted grade increased?

tbh I'm not sure how to approach my teacher about it, if you'd have any advice? However I am worried that loads of the people applying will have A*s in fm and all 9s at gcse and they could probably fill the course twice over just with them. But if you know what I could say to my teacher that would be helpful?

LSE definitely doesn't just look at grades and grades only; 4A*s and 12 9s won't guarantee a place at LSE if you have a subpar personal statement. I think for FM, ask your teachers what you can do to get that A*, is it additional tests, a mock exam?, and how far away are you from it? If you don't get that A* it's not the end of the world, but it would help.

is it better to get A*A*A* or A*A*A*A is it worth just not doing the 4th one for these unis?
