GYG 💕 HSPS/ P+IR Applicant 🫧
Hi 👋
I am Charlotte and I am in second year of Sixth Form College.
Currently, I am waiting on an interview from Cambridge! The fear of the unknown is extremely nerve wracking so I am starting this GYG partly as a distraction, but also in order to hold myself accountable and achieve excellent A-Level results.
I study-
📖AQA English Language and Literature
⚖️EdExcel Politics
📜AQA History.
In these, I am predicted A*A*A*.
Truthfully, it’s a hard quota to make and it’s stressing me out greatly. But we live!!
I have already completed my EPQ (achieving an A) in Year 12, so at least that is one less thing to worry about.
At GCSE, I achieved 998888887 + L2D*
Should I not make Cambridge, my top choices are Bristol or Exeter, both of which I have been given conditional offers.
Anyway, onto today’s GYG:

Subjects at college today: English (Paris Anthology), Politics (Liberalism)
Revision log: 2hrs English work (catch up!), 1 hour history coursework
Thought of today: If you’re not handed an opportunity, make one!

Still no interview response this morning! Patience, patience, patience…..
Subjects at college today: History, Politics, English (+I tutor after college today)
Revision log today (planned): Revise interview practice (2hrs), complete English essay (50 mins)
Thought of today : I taped very inspiring women to the inside cover of my notebook… if this doesn’t get me to lock in, I don’t know what will!!!! (top left: Ada Lovelace, top right: Michelle Obama, middle: Malala Yousafzai, bottom left: Marie Montessori, bottom right: Mary Wollstonecraft)

Hiii! I'm also a Y13 (but applying for medicine lol), but we genuinely all need to support each other throughout the application process. I'm (hopefully) waiting for interviews as well, although eventually I didn't apply to cambridge. But I swear It's like a bidaily thing that I check my emails tho

Yesterday was an inset day for our teachers to mark our mocks, and I have no work this weekend so that means studies!
I received my Cambridge interview yesterday which is extremely exciting so today I have spent mostly relaxing, but also doing a few hours of interview prep. I find the hardest part is trying to use less filler words (um, like, uhh) when I am practicing aloud. If anyone has any tips on this they would be graciously appreciated!
