Law application chances

I recently missed my offer in august 2025 (held a warwick law LLB offer that required A*AA - i was predicted A*A*A*) but since i came out with AAB with an A in law a level, a B in sociology A level and an A in business level i missed it and am now reapplying for 2026 entry. I was just wondering what the chances were of me gaining offers from newcastle uni, exeter, loughborough and nottingham were to study law. All of these courses state on their websites bar loughborough that the entry requirements are AAA but i’ve looked on ucas and the avg offers held by students studying are often around aab/abb. My gcses are 998888774 and i’ve got some law work experience/ events under my belt and read up on some key law books last year to help with my application. If anyone knows anyone/studies law at these unis or could maybe let me know the chances of me gaining offers at these unis pls reply and lmk thankyou!!!!!

These are the results they were accepted with in August - not what they applied with - and it does not mean that everyone they accepted in August had these grades. And these stats do not tell you why some people may have been accepted with lower grades - mitigating circumstances, special entry schemes etc. So be very careful about using these stats as a way of predicting anything about 'what will get you an offer' at any Uni. With this in mind, do not apply to all AAA Universities.

And, whilst some leading Unis may make offers to those with predicted grades just below their requirements, this is because these applicants might then put their foot on the pedal and eventually get the grades required. As you are applying with achieved grades, this possibility is not applicable and they may take a harder line.

Applying to one or maybe two AAA Unis might be worth the risk - you might get an offer but be prepared for No - your other choices do need to be more realistic at AAB.

I had mitigating circumstances for this years exam season as i was quite ill whilst sitting my exams - would these be applicable for my 2026 application if i can get them noted on my application by my college ucas advisor and would these effect the likelihood of an offer do you think?

Probably not as they could realistically have expected you to resit your A levels this year.
