16+ Westminster 2026 Interviews

Hey! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I got invited to the interview stage for Westminster! I have no idea how that happened lmao. Anyways the subjects I'm being interviewed in are: chemistry, history, philosophy and french. If anyone has done an interview for any of these subjects please lmk what they asked + how to prepare because I can't find any information. Thanks so much!

Hi, I had some interviews last week, although they're not as good as Westminster, I think some of the skills I gained are applicable to the Westminster interview. Since I also did have a chemistry interview this week for a local private school, and they just really want to see how you think, and why you want to do the subject, i,e. they asked what you want to do in the future and why chemistry helps, so I guess just have these answers in mind in case they ask. They also gave me some questions, like half equations and electrolysis to do along with calculations, they weren't very hard so I got through them very quickly. They also ask you whether you've covered the topic before they give you a question. I also had three general interviews last week and they went OK, they mainly wants to know why you chose your A-levels, how can you contribute and fit in, and your hobbies and extracurriculars. I think these are the main points needed for Westminster next week. but I can't be sure though, Westminster is really prestigious so don't be surprised if they ask some really obscure questions🤣

Thanks, I think they mainly went well cuz I got to talk about some of the books I read research stuff and they seemed impressed, but for one they asked me about social media and climate change which really caught me off guard so I kinda fumbled. They also asked me about a time I felt disappointed and how I managed it I somehow talked about a time when my school’s rugby team lost a cup game because I missed a tackle, and I said that I tried to improve my joining a rugby club, idk if that sounds plausible or impressive even though it’s true. So maybe have some of these stuff in mind although I doubt they’d ask u about those
I’ll see you on Saturday

Hey guys, i also somehow got an interview for this saturday in bcm and fm. the thing is after submitting my apllication to westminster i realised that i really dont want to do chemistry so im pretty sure im going to be eaten alive in that interview, especially considering i flopped the entrance exam in chemistry. Does anyone know how to prepare for the interviews this saturday? and also does anyone know whats going to be in the interview day assessment? Honestly any response would be great as currently im hopelessly unprepared for the interviews. Anyway good luck to everyone who has an interview this saturday!!

I have articles for chem, books + articles for the others. I wonder how much of the interview is gonna be about them tho like surely not that much?
