Lnat score

Hi guys i got my lnat score today i got 28/42!
While im aware this is a good score i have heard that kcl often reject people that get below 30. Was wondering if this is actually true as i am still able to switch out kcl as im within the two well time frame of submitting my ucas.

Well done on completing the LNAT! 28 is a brilliant score!

Although KCL is quite competitive, especially when it comes to law, I would say that to have the best shot your LNAT should be above 28 (which is what you got), it doesn’t necessarily have to be exactly over 30. However, it also depends on other factors such as your GCSE grades, personal statement and predicated grades. If all these other aspects are strong for you, then your LNAT score should complement them well and shouldn’t be an issue. That being said, it also depends on the national average for this year, and the difference between that and your score. Say the national average is 21, your score of 28 is pretty good, and should be good enough to get you into KCL, provided that the other aspects of your application are strong as well. To summarise, I would say give KCL a shot!

I also wanted to ask what you did to prepare, and for how long you prepared until your exam? My friend is taking hers soon and wanted some advice 🙂

On the LNAT website, on the section where u tick which universities you’re planning on applying to, tick Jindal. (Even if you’re not applying there) and you’ll get an email with your score. I did my exam in early October and found out about this method last Wednesday and i got my results less than a week later!

I began preparing around a month before i sat it. I’ll be honest my methods prob werent the most effective i just spammed practice papers most of the time. However i did see improvements- my first ever score was 17 and this increased with each paper i did. You kinda get the hang of it after a few papers but a lot of people do say to note the answers you got wrong and try to understand why u got them wrong.

hi! when i asked kcl in sept they said their cut off was 28 in the 2024 cycle and it will probably remain the same unless the avg spikes/falls massively

On your LNAT account in the section where they ask what unis you’re applying for, tick Jindal Global Law school. U can do this even after you’ve sat your LNAT. Then you’ll get an email from them with your score around a week or two later
