UCL Economics and Statistics with an Economics PS?

Hi, I was considering applying to Econ + Stats at UCL instead of just Econ. The issue is is that my personal statement is for straight Econ. There's references to maths/stats/quantitative stuff in there (along with mentions of selective maths courses and competitions both in my student reference and PS), but there's also paragraphs about things like political economy and behavioural and similar. Will this be an issue? I'm also not sure on which course would be more competitive, so if anybody could shed light on that it would be fantastic.
I'm also not sure if my TMUA score is competitive enough for UCL Econ (5.8), so was considering applying to Econ+Stats because they don't ask for it.
Stats:
Achieved: 9999988888, and an A* in A-level Maths
Predicted: A*A*A* (FM, Econ, Politics)

hi Did you decide which course at UCL? I have a similar situation so decided to go with Straight Econ instead. Your TMUA 5.8 is really good. I only got 3.9. Ou have got good chance tbh.
