Adult Nursing

Hi, I just had an interview from BCU and after couple of hours they sent me an offer.
I have another interview for Aston Uni , if ever I get an offer for both which Uni would be best for Adult nursing?

Hi

End of the day it doesn't matter which university you chose for your adult nursing because your future employers are only interested in being a qualified nurse from a credited nursing degree in what you should have from the university.

Which university you prefer if you get a offer for the other one 😉 😉 😉 - each university are guided by the NMC rules and regulations as they set the coursework required and then the university teach this to you..... normally individual universities will teach students the same coursework but it is how they teach you it which is different and how they schedule your placements.

Good luck with your future nursing degree 💯
I have not attended any of those universities okay.

Hey @username7827081

Congrats on the offer !

It really depends on which you prefer, as was said above, they are both regulated by the NMC. it just depends on your preference.

Have you been to both for an open day ? this might help you get a better feel for what student life might be like at both universities. You can also see the simulation facilities at each university. Or if you have received an offer from BCU, you may have the opportunity to come for an offer holder day.

Would you prefer a more city center campus or quieter campus about 20 minuite walk from the city center? The Birmingham City South campus is about a 20 minuite walk from the Bullring shopping center meaning it’s quieter and away from the busy rush around that area, but still accessible.

Look at the course layout, time in university vs time on placement, how you will be assessed, etc. What suits you best ?

It’s just about making the next few years the most enjoyable for you, and where you will feel most comfortable. So my main advice is, if you can, come and visit both universities to get a better feel for them.

Best of luck! Let me know if there’s anything else i can help with 😊

Hello,

Congratulations on getting your offers🥳.

Since all of them are regulated by the NMC, you will become a registered nurse at the end of your course. However, it is very important to look into which university offers more student support, their timetable system/days and the overall module and placement layout. As a student nurse, it is one of the most important things for me to look at the amount of support I can get from my university since it is a very stressful course. It may also be helpful to visit open days and talk to nursing students from each of those universities.

All the best
