Pair of well fitted trousers, plain coloured t shirt will be fine, please dont stress, preferably a pair of shoes- ones that mimic schools shoes for ease of explaining, if not plain black trainers are okay, dont over spend! if you want to be slightly more formal possibly wear a fitted shirt over a t shirt with those trousers, keep flashy jewellery to a minimun and your hair neat, not too much makeup if you can help it- either way you've got this, they're looking at your person, as long as you're not dressing inappropriately I dont believe it should be an issue, from how you're talking you sound relatively young so im *assuming* this is more of a grad/ placement/ entry level position in which they understand you're nervous, not as prepared and are more interested in you, what you have to offer and whether you'd fit the company culture

Hi There

I'm Jade a 3rd year medic at Lancaster, I completely understand stressing about what to wear for interviews as I went through the same thing! My rule of thumb is that it should be something you can see a GP wear. My biggest tip is to wear whatever makes you feel confident. For my first interview, I wore a suit and tie and just felt ridiculous- literally cringed when I saw myself on camera. For the rest of my interviews, I wore a white button-up, grey cardigan, black fitted dress pants and school shoes.

Here are some general dos and don'ts on what to wear.

Dos:

Nice blouse or button up (not too low cut)

Turtlenecks

Smart cardigan

Blazer

Simple muted colours and basic patterns

Comfortable and well fitted pieces (especially if you are doing MMIs in person)

"Natural" Makeup (browns and neutrals)

Simple jewellery (earrings and necklace)

Donts:

Anything lowcut- shirts or awkward length trousers

Skirts that wont reach your fingertips

Rings for in person interviews as there may be "hand-on" or practical stations.

Loud patterns or too many clashing colours.

Jeans

Hope this helps! Any other questions do ask away

The short answer is: dress like a doctor who wears formal clothing to work.
