Veterinary School Undergrad for Canadian

Hi, I'm currently in Grade 11 in Alberta Canada, and I have a few questions about the schools I'm applying to. I'm currently applying to U Nottingham, Liverpool, Bristol and Edinburgh. My questions are

1: I have an 88-91 overall expected average, is this enough and do I have a good chance? (Around 412 Veterinary Clinic hours and 25 large animal hours)

2: My expected grade for Grade 12 Chemistry is anywhere from 87-91, and my Grade 12 Biology grade is expected from a 90-95, is this enough for the universities I'm applying to?

3: My English grade is anywhere from an 89-94, is this enough? Along with this my Social Studies (History) grade is a confirmed 91.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I would strongly recommend that you email all the admissions teams for each university as they all can have subtlety different entry requirements which can vary both grade boundaries and the amount of work experience required. They are normally very responsive. Some of the work experience needs to have been completed in the 24 months prior to application for example though you look like you have loads so that’s unlikely to be an issue for you. UK unis are also desperate for international students as they pay more to attend so this may/may not impact grade boundaries but I expect they would be broadly in line with UK requirements which are usually AAA or AAB for A levels as a minimum. But they also regulate (again differently by uni) the minimum grade requirements for UK exams (gcse) done at aged 16 too. Best always to check, don’t rely on internet comments alone. My D is at Nottingham and absolutely loves it. Great rural campus, with good links to Nottingham main campus and really good sports and social life. Really good hands on practical course.

Hi @Mimote thank you for your lovely comments about our university and for helping this prospective student on their journey. You've provided a great response. If anyone else has any further questions, please come back to the #UoN team - we are always happy to help 🙂
