Aberdeen or Dundee for Civil Engineering?

Hi all,
I’m applying for Civil Engineering BEng at a few universities, and my final choice is between Aberdeen and Dundee. I’ve been leaning towards Aberdeen since I’ve heard it’s better for engineering, but my sister is at Dundee, I’m more familiar with the city, and it’s closer to home.
Does anyone who has attended either of these universities—or done the same course—have any opinions or insights? I’d really appreciate any information.
Thanks!

Do you mean that you have offers for these two, and are deciding which one to make your Firm choice - or that you have not applied yet and are still deciding your 5 UCAS choices?

Which course suits you better - look at the optional units for all years of each course and think about what you would choose if you went there. Does either course have any sort of placement or work-experience included, or study-abroad - these add enormously to the breadth of your degree and to your graduate CV and employability.
