Where should i pick for my fifth uni choice

(i’m applying for maths from scotland, so this will have to be a scottish uni)
i have four choices so far (Glasgow, Strath, Heriot, and Aberdeen)
im just not sure where my fifth choice should go, i haven’t been able to visit any universities but my school wants ucas done by friday
im mostly thinking stirling or dundee? but i’m not sure. where would you apply, strangers?

Tell your school you aren't ready - there is absolutely ages before the deadline and it's YOUR future!

You can apply with four choices and then add your last choice later (but by the January deadline).

i’m NOT ready, my personal statement isn’t even on the final draft yet :frown: but cause of prelims being in december they want them done now cause there won’t be time in january cause of their references and everything

References can be written now - I've done all of mine! Get your parents involved - it's your future and there is absolutely no need for the school to have sight of your application now.

They cannot actually stop you applying later. Schools set an earlier deadline to make sure that they dont get all applications to process at the last minute, but if you explain that you are simply not ready and that you will submit 'before Christmas' then that gives you a bit more time.

As above, you could apply for just 4 choices and add a final choice just before the Jan deadline - or just stick with 4 choices if there isn't any other Uni you actually want to apply to.

i’m not sure, i tried speaking to my guidance teacher today in PSHE today saying i wasn’t confident in my PS, and she’s really nice but she’s also really certain that i should be done by friday
and i could! but it could be a rushed final draft. what i have right now could be enough with a few little tweaks maybe
im pretty behind the rest of my class i think, so it makes sense she wants me to hurry up anyways

neither of my parents went to uni so anything UCAS goes completely over their heads, they’ll probably agree with my guidance - maybe i SHOULD have been quicker at writing, but guidance prefers to hand write notes on printed copies, so it takes a while to even get my feedback lol and i really do suck at writing

The UCAS deadline for equal consideration is January 14th which is many weeks away.

YOu can add the 5th choice later but do stand your ground re having time to properly draft your PS.
