Hello,
I just received an unconditional offer for BNU after my interview yesterday.
Do you know exactly when the course start in January?

Hi! That’s great, are you going to accept it or are you still looking at other universities? I’ve accepted mine as my firm choice and after doing that they sent me a welcome email which states that joining information etc. will be sent around December, so we won’t find out the starting date and other information until then.

Oh ok yes I’m planning on firming it. Do you have any clue roughly how many people will be on the course?

I’m not sure I know pretty much the same info as you, from what I researched I think it could be around 15-16 people. But you’re the only one I’ve been able to reach who will be on the course. So did you just do your interview/ get your offer recently? Maybe the uni is still sending more offers/ interviewing so maybe we will find out more when they’re finished. I’m doing a campus tour next week so I’m hoping to find out more info. Also are you planning on staying in university halls?

Oh wow when is the campus tour? I need to book for that. I’m planning on living in university hall, what about you? So I literally had my interview on Thursday and received the unconditional offer on Friday.

They do campus tours every other Wednesday, I’m going to one on the 26th November and I think they may still have space for that date. But they also have other ones coming up in December as well. I’m also planning on staying in halls! From where I currently live it’s too far to commute. Oh wow! That’s cool getting your offer literally the next day ahaha, I interviewed at the end of October and got my offer at the beginning of November, I’m happy since BNU was my top choice!

Thank you, I’ve booked a campus tour too on the 26th November. See you there. I’ve been looking online for student life for BNU but there is barely any information on it (only those that BNU post/ no personal experience). Just hoping the university experience would be good since it’s near London.

Oh nice! See you there. I’ve had the same experience but I managed to get in touch with someone who is on the BSc course, they’ve been having a really positive experience so far and has had no complaints, so that keeps me hopeful that it should be good for us MSc students!

Oh wow congratulations 🥳. Really pleased to hear. Are you planning on commuting or living in Buckingham? I’m literally on my way to BNU open day.

I'll be commuting as I live in one of the villages just outside High Wycombe.

What is your background etc? I'm now nervous I'm going to be the oldest student.

Is this your first time going to one of the uni open days?

Yayy congratulations on your offer, that’s so great!!🥳 my background is paediatric nursing, newly qualified but wanting to do a bit of a change in career from my experience in MRI and x-ray, how about you?
That’s funny because I was also nervous about being one of the youngest students ahaha!

😂

I did a BSc in Animal Science, worked in veterinary medicine for a while and now I'm working as a dental nurse. I've been needing the career change for some time, always used radiography in my roles, and have wanted to take it further.

I'm 39, 40 in March fml 🙄

I went along to the open day at the end of September. I think I was the only MSc Radiography prospective student there. Everyone else was for the BSc Radiography, which got me worried thinking I was going to be on my own 😂

Oh really🤣I missed that open day and there hasn’t been any others since then for postgraduates and I was told they only have undergrad ones coming up which wouldn’t be useful for me, so I just booked for a campus tour instead but I guess it was enough. How did the open day go? Or did they give you any useful info about the MSc course?

In all honesty I can't really remember 🤦*♀️The course content appears to be much the same though I believe.

Are you applying for the NHS learning support fund for the MSc? Kind of want to get the ball rolling, but not sure when I can start it all!

You can apply for the NHS LSF as soon as you have confirmation that you are eligible for student finance.
