Hi!
A MPharm student here.
I would say its definitely still worth considering because it is still a well demanded job and AI can definitely not replace the work of a pharmacist. With the Bath course specifically, we finish university as independent prescriber which gives us greater opportunities for work.
Whilst AI is changing some aspects of the profession, the role of a pharmacist is still important as we have more of a clinical role with hospital and GP settings.
The pay can range from starting salaries being around £26k and more experienced pharmacist can earn between £60-80k.When deciding what you want to do, there are a lot of factors to think about like what you enjoy, career pathway, career progression. It is definitely a rewarding career full of opportunities to develop and if you enjoy life-long learning, then definitely consider pharmacy.
I hope that helps!
