Hey everyone,
I'm Aura, a rep from the University of Staffordshire studying Computer Science BSc and in my final year. I entered the University through UCAS, straight after my A-levels, achieving A*AA and choosing Staffs as my Number 1 as I was excited to get into the technical side of tech and learn to use industry standard tools. I felt welcomed from the get-go and have since done a placement year. For most Staffs courses, even if you don't apply for a placement year, you may be eligible to swap to one later on if you secure a placement (another bonus.) I am part of the award winning Staffs Computing Society and Creative Writing Society!

If you have any questions regarding the application process or would love to learn more about Computer Science at Staffs, feel free to reply with your questions here!

Many thanks,
Aura.

Hiya!
I'm Meg, another rep for the University of Staffordshire. I'm currently doing my MA in Arts and Creative Technologies (by negotiated study) and graduated BA Illustration this past summer! I came straight to Uni from doing my BTEC in Animation at college, the enrolment process was incredibly simple as the staff here are amazing. I'm also part of our Cheerleading team and the Mario Kart society, Staffs has been an amazing home away from home for me and I'd recommend our creative courses to anyone.

If you have any questions drop em' here 🥰

Meg

Hi there!

I'm Tee, an MSc Digital Marketing Management student and Student Content Creator here at the University of Staffordshire!

I came to UoS through Clearing back in 2022 and recently graduated from my undergrad course in Illustration. I didn't receive the desired grades after completing my BTEC in college, and this nearly led to me giving up on coming to university. I had spoken to my college lecturer, and she'd told me about UoS and applying through Clearing (which I wasn't aware of at the time) and encouraged me to apply. Then all of a sudden, September 2022 came along, and I was sitting in my first class!

Now, 3 years and a degree later, I've started a masters course! Very unexpected turn of events🤣

I've had a lot of incredible opportunities handed to me whilst being at UoS, and I couldn't be more grateful and happy with my choice!

If anyone has any questions at all, feel free to reply or drop me a message

Take care,
Tee

Heyy @DylanC4 !

First and foremost, congratulations on your place here at University of Staffordshire! That is an incredible achievement and I hope you enjoy your course for September!! The facilities from personal experience here are amazing, and I've especially loved the Epic Games Lab that we have the most so far (literally was just in a lesson in here just now!) - hopefully you'll love it just as much as me and many others! 🤍

Secondly, as an applicant who was in the same shoes as you last year but as a Games Artist - there are most definitely students who like you have already accepted their place for the same course! Our University has a 'UniOfStaffs CampusConnect' App which you can download to get in contact early with other students on similar or the same course!
More about the app and how to join!: https://www.staffs.ac.uk/go/campus-connect 💫

And lastly, here at University of Staffordshire we have The Student Union - which handles a huge range of Societies from gaming focused societies such as: League of Legends, Valorant, Splatoon, Pokemon, Hoyoverse Games, Mario Kart and more! Alongside this, there are societies that focus on course-based work, interesting intel about their specific industry and improving your skills such as: Games Development Society, Computing Society and the list goes on and on! Some of these societies have free Discords which you can join where you can make some early friends before joining us this September to really get a feel for our communities!
You can take a look for yourself and get the early intel on what societies we have! :cyber: : https://www.staffsunion.com/getinvolved/clubsandsocieties/

Any Questions? Please let us know! But for now I hope this early info can help!
