deferring a year at bristol/bath/exeter

I'm in the process of applying to universities but i would like to defer a year for a gap year. Does anyone have any experience with deferring your course with the above unis?

Those are some excellent choices! I personally do not have experience with this but I'd love to share some articles I recommend taking a look at.
This UCAS article details the process of how to defer an entry.
This UCAS article looks more generally at deferred entries.
I also recommend contacting the universities to see if they allow deferrals for your course.

You can either select '2027 entry' on your UCAS application for all/each choice, or you can ask each Uni for a deferral later. Just be aware that some Unis have a deadline for deferral requests and its best to ask before Easter. It wont change how they view your application or impact your chances of an offer.
