Graphic design = DT GCSE

I picked Graphic design as one of my GCSE choices. But it is literally just DT. The exam we do is the WJEC design and technology! Just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience?

Hi!
I'm currently a Y!0 student. I didn't have the same experience, however I did pick DT GCSE for edexcel. My school has different DTs, and mine is called 'Graphics' which is kind if similar to yours. I do agree- it's the exact same as other DTs.

I did go into Graphics, aware that is was DT and I enjoy it, however, many other people in my class have complained that it's not 'arty' like they thought it would be.

My advice would be to change subjects if allowed and you think you could catch up in a different subject (if you wanted to change)

If not, assuming WJEC dt also works as 50% exam, 50% NEA, craft a project for your NEA that allows you to play your strengths and what you like working with. If this includes graphic design, so be it.

Wish you best of luck
