LSE Accounting and Finance

im applying to lse bsc accounting and finance for 2026 entry. my predicted grades are 4A* in maths, fm, accounting and econs and gcse equivalent are nine 9s. im afraid even after working my ahh off for these grades i still cant get in (lse has been my dream since 14). i heard a lot of stories from my seniors that even with exceptional grades they still got rejected because of the personal statement. those that are applying for the same course do you have any tips to write the ps????

Yeah, LSE puts a lot of emphasis on your personal statement and most competent applications will have grades of your level. Successful personal statements for LSE tend to be very convincing in describing why the writer chose their course, have strong supercurriculars to back it up, and have a really nice flow to it when reading.

As such, there is no general 'tip' I can give, except to try to convey to the reader that you are genuinely interested in A&F, why you are interested, and what you have done to expand on that interest. Try and find example essays to gauge their level.
