English at Durham/KCL/Oxford

Hi! I've applied for English at Durham, KCL, Oxford, Liverpool, and York. I've already heard from Liverpool and York, but haven't from the other three. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything! I know Oxford will only be a few weeks now with interviews and things, but it's a very nerve-racking experience haha :smile:

We don't usually give a timeframe on sending out offers, as this will depend on the department and course you have applied to, your qualifications and whether any more information is needed (eg an interview).
Please don’t worry if you haven’t heard yet, though! If your application was submitted by 6pm (UK time) on 14 January 2026, the universities you applied to will have to respond to your application by 13 May 2026 (according to key UCAS dates).

I'm Exeter College aswell for English Language & Literature - so definitely in December? Where can I find this information?

Congrats on the Durham offer! I’ve applied there too and am waiting for a reply- did you have to submit any documents onto the document section in the applicant portal? I can’t work out if we’re supposed to

It was in the acknowledgement email that Exeter College sent us- copy pasting directly from it, it says 'If you are shortlisted for an interview we will send you a formal invitation for an online interview in December.'

I've only met one other person who's applying Exeter for English! Do you mind keeping in contact on other social media? Completely alright if not :smile:

I didn't submit any documents on the portal. I just sent my application through UCAS and waited. Good luck and hope you get in as well! :smile:

Hi! I've applied to Jesus, and it said the same, but I took it to mean as the interview itself will be in December, not necessarily the invite? Maybe it's just me who's misunderstood it!
