Stressed Year 13 help! 🫠

What's the best way to revise balancing both year 12 and year 13 revision?
I got BBC in November mocks in maths, chemistry and physics. I am aiming to get 3 As. Is this possible and how? I am overwhelmed by all the content for year 13 and the as level papers I want to get done for year 12 content. I was planning on doing 2 as level past papers a day alongside an hour of yr13 content but I don't think that will work considering how much year 13 content I need to get through.

I would really appreciate tips and motivation. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this ☺️🧡

Hiya!

usually when im revising i make a little checklist and work my way through - starting from most important to least (: - When i was doing my highers/adv higher (scottish a-level equivilant) i would try to revise one topic by making notes/flashcards and then would go on to do some practice questions just on that area rather than the full paper - i would then get these marked by a teacher if i was unsure from the marking scheme on where it went wrong and found that to be best for understanding! 😊 - also just felt a little less overwhelming than the full paper and let me see the type of questions being asked year by year and if there was anything that reoccurred a lot!

I would start with topics that come up a lot, worth a lot of marks so you dont have the worry of being unsure of those and then work your way to the more tricky questions or the questions only worth a small proportion of marks (:

motivation wise - probably sounds a little counter productive lol but just making sure your taking the time to hang with friends, relax and recharge makes all the difference! - just means when you go back to revision you feel fresh and ready to start, just feels a whole lot better than no breaks and prevents that burnout😊 - at the start of the week i usually make a schedule of my lectures/time at uni, any extra-ciriculars and my part time job so im able to see how much time i realistically have in the week to study! - i then see about planning 1 or 2 things in that week, doesnt have to be anything super exciting, even just a walk around with a friend that gives you that break away from study (:

for instance, this week I was at a concert seeing lorde on wednesday and have my friends over for food on saturday and had a bookclub meeting last night! - i usually work full days saturday/sunday with my part time job so try to make it that i finish work and then do something fun or chilled to end the day (: - i revised monday, tuesday and im planning a bit more today 🤗 - pretty busy week for me lol but having it planned like this let me see when i was avaible, the amount of time i had - also had times, like wednesday before the concert where i had nothing planned but could revise if i was feeling up to it! - makes it feel a bit less daunting

hope this helps a bit - best of luck with your revision!!💜
