Uni of York for Law

I'm waiting on an offer for York and I'm hoping to firm it if they decide to give me an offer. I understand the problem based learning system which is a big selling point. The only thing I'm really confused about is the Foundations of Law modules - it seems that instead of having the foundations as individual modules they intertwine them all into one big module which you complete across the degree. I tried looking on Studocu to clear it up but it's just a minefield in there!
If anyone can shed light on how this works and if it seems more effective than having "straight" modules for each topic I would be eternally grateful.
Thanks in advance!
