Kicked out exam hall for laughing

So I’m doing mocks and my last couple are coming up, but I have this underlying feeling I’m going to start laughing, as my friend and I are close and she sits quite close to me so sometimes I sense her and I can’t help it. I also might laugh because of how badly I’m doing in the paper or sometimes the questions make me laugh. Will I get kicked out? And wouldn’t it be slightly unfair if I were to have my exam failed as it’s an uncontrollable action? In the last exam I had finished, but still had to leave 30mins early, and my friend did too, but I had to leave as quickly as possible because I was about to burst into laughter

no laughing is completely controllable and you should probably get a U on the paper because in a real exam you could be kicked off of any exams done for that exam board

It really isn’t though, I don’t know how you would ever be able to control laughter

You would absolutely get kicked out of the room.

Talk to a teacher about it. They will advise better for your situation

No one on this forum can advise as well as a teacher of yours

Then you may wish to do some research and practice not laughing at home

Laughing can be a sign of nervousness or relief. I urge the OP to talk to a teacher or the exams officer at their school for advice

This doesn't contradict the advice I offered

What do you mean by practice not laughing? Believe me, I’d rather not be laughing in situations like these, so if I could control it I absolutely would.

Good, so my advice is to do a bit of research about how to avoid laughing and practice the suggestions at home

Oh ok thanks
It depends on the school. But yes, some schools would kick you out.

Why do you and your friend laugh at each other anyway?

We don’t laugh at each other but for instance if something in the exam while everyone is silent goes wrong or sometimes the voice is really aggressive, I can tell that she’s trying not to laugh and I am too so then it’s soo hard to hold it in

Would it be possible for you to not sit near each other?

I haven't really read the other comments on this thread but I agree!! As a student who takes academics fairly serious and is operating at all 8-9s, if I start laughing then I will not be able to stop regardless of the location.. I literally started choking during a mock trying to hold one in. I would suggest that you keep asking relevant staff if they could put you in a separate room and make a big deal out of it :> Or maybe just ask them to keep you seated away and make a big deal out of it :> I'm not saying either is a good thing but you may as well try to prevent a potential disqualification.
