A-level English lit help year 12

Hey, I am currently studying English lit, sociology and psychology a-level and I was just wondering if anyone had any advice. Tbh I am currently loving all of my subjects although English does take up a lot of my time. For English lit we are currently studying handmaids and streetcar - which I absolutely love however upon doing a recent essay I wondered if anyone could help. Overall I got a CU which is like a couple of marks of a B, so for the start of year 12 I was really proud of myself however the feedback remained that my argument could be clearer. I know that to improve it takes practice but does anyone have advice for staying on the point and not straying off. Anyways TYSM.

You are so early into the course - do not worry. You will get there with hard work. English does take up a lot of time and it is a packed subject, but really rewarding. Ask your teacher for specifics i.e. how to make your argument clearer (AO1/5).

It is crucial to understand the other AOs too - you could get capped if you don't use all of them (rubric infringement), so make sure you meet them all to a certain level. A Level learning curves are slow - so do not worry, this is normal.

Enjoy your texts - I don't study these, but I adore the work of Atwood.
