University of Bristol- film and television portfolio?

I’m applying to film and television courses for university and some of them say they need a portfolio. On the course page for University of Bristol I can’t find anywhere that says i need a portfolio, but with it being a Russell group and all I’m wondering if that’s it? Because I can definitely meet the grade requirements and have a film and tv related personal statement, so is that all i need? It seems too easy, because I’m not someone I’d think would get into a prestigious uni..

TLDR: Do i need a portfolio for film and television at University of Bristol

There's no mention of a portfolio being required on the course page at https://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/2026/film-television/ba-film-and-television/

And similarly there's no mention of a portfolio being part of the admissions process on the Undergraduate Admissions Statement for the course.

So I think you can conclude that no portfolio is required.

You could always contact Bristol's admissions team with your enquiry: https://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/contacts/
