Hello! I have taught on Access for over 10 years albeit in Nursing and I think I can help.
What is misleading with Access is that the Diploma title such as Access to Dentistry doesn't really matter, it is actually the modules (subjects) which are covered which matters. For instance there aren't that many Access to Dentistry programs out there (the Manchester College does one) but there are a lot of Access to Health Professions ones, of which the modules *might* let you into dentistry at University - you just need to check.
The best thing would be to a) speak to the admissions team at the University/s you want to progress onto and b) speak to the head of Access at your local F.E college
