Ual fashion folio course private lesson

Hi, I’m currently doing the UAL Fashion Folio course and I remember that on the first day we signed a paper agreeing to a few things, like not taking any private lessons outside the course and not plagiarising someone else’s work... and so on.

I’m a bit confused about how strict this rule actually is. If a student ends up getting a private lesson from someone outside UAL and the course finds out, what kind of consequences would they face? Would it be just a warning or something more serious?

I just want to understand the policy properly. If there really are consequences, I won’t take any private lessons at all.

Would really appreciate any insight from people who know how this works.

Hello! Thanks for your question. It’s completely understandable to want clarity on this.

Because each course can have its own specific guidelines and expectations, the best thing to do is to check directly with your course leader. They’ll be able to give you the most accurate explanation of the policy and what the consequences might be, as well as offer guidance on what is and isn’t allowed.

Reaching out to them now is a great way to make sure you’re fully informed and avoid any issues later. They’re usually very approachable and happy to help!

Hope this helps, and best of luck with your course!
