dentistry vs dental hygiene

what gets more applicants per place, dental hygiene (or dental hygiene + therapy but mainly just hygiene) or dentistry. apprently according to chatgpt dental hygiene courses get 45 applicants per place while dentistry gets 10-20. but is that really true

I dont think thats true. If you take for instance Liverpool dentistry which has around 70 dentistry places tops but had 2500 applicants this year. Leeds 1800 applicants last year for 60 places etc etc.

Which makes it around 35 applicants per place for Liverpool, and 30 applicants per place for Leeds.

Don't believe chatgpt. This is something you could ask at open days or call admissions. It is a relatively competitive course but don't let that put you off applying if you meet the entry requirements and are passionate about the course.
