you definitely don't need history for law, just any essay subject so politics, English lit etc., any of those would work

As above - History is not a required subject for Law, and whilst an essay-based subject is useful for skills, that isn't necessarily essential either. Just check the entry requirements for these Unis as examples :
LLB Bachelor of Laws - LSE - 'A broad mix of traditional academic subjects' but nothing specific.
Law LLB | University of Leeds - 'Two of your A-levels must be in traditional academic subjects'
LLB Law | Study at Bristol | University of Bristol - no specified subjects
Law (LLB) - Undergraduate, University of York - no specified subjects
Law LLB | Undergraduate study | Loughborough University - no specified subjects
Etc etc

Theres no set subjects required for law. You just need the grades. So you dont HAVE to take history.
Do subjects that you will enjoy and get the best grades in.
What other subjects are you thinking of taking?

ohh but if i dont take history i dont know what other essay based subject i would do other than psychology and politics is only for my safety school. im not that good at english so taking it for me would be terrible. i am set on doing maths and epq though and then choosing between economics/psychology

but i also feel like history may be the most interesting essay based to take because i hate english and politics is only an option for my safety school, other than that i feel like it could be interesting. i am going to choose between psychology and economics for my 2nd option then a definite for maths

Out of psychology and politics, choose whichever of the 2 you think you will like best and get the best grade in.

I must be blunt. Maybe law is not for you. You appear to struggle with written English, and you have expressed above some concern about hard work. Law is laborious, and requires linguistic precision.

Why do you wish to study law?

You dont need prior knowledge of history for a level unless the sixth form you apply for requires a certain grade in history gcse for progression to a level. What you do need is strong essay writing skills which you may struggle with as you struggle with English and the subjects can be quite similar in terms of required skills, especially when you need to write extended answers for English literature or talk about context of a text. These kinds of skills are absolutely essential for law, history a level is not but some unis will prefer an essay subject.
Why are you aiming for law?
It strikes me as unusual that your top choice for a sixth form doesn’t offer the subjects you want to do. The subjects you study are the most important factors for choosing a sixth form because it doesn’t matter how good a school is if youre stuck studying subjects that you dont like or will not lead you to the career you want.
