Lse / kcl / durham / warwick/ ?.

Hi guys,
I have 3 A*'s predicted, however I have a weak overall gcse profile. My gcse's are 8,8,8,8,8,7,7,6,6.
I am applying to:

LSE: Economics and economic history---( haven't picked this yet),
Durham: Economics with placement year--( sent my application through),
Warwick: Economics --( sent my application through),
KCL: Economics -(sent my application through).

I haven't picked my final choice yet, but I need a good backup. I do economics, maths and chemistry, and I have booked my TMUA exam, but I don't think that I would want to do it.
Are my chances high to get into the unis that I have chosen, and which unis would be good as a backup option in case I flop my economics A level?

Your predictions make you competitive for all four, though LSE is always a bit unpredictable and more GCSE-focused. Warwick, Durham and KCL are realistic with a strong PS.

For a safer fifth choice, look at Bath, Bristol, Nottingham, Leeds or Southampton good econ departments with slightly lower pressure. Your GCSEs won’t hold you back if the rest of your application is solid.

I'm applying there too, what proportion of your PS is Econ compared to econ history?

your 5th is gna need to be a safe option i.e. ur insurance in case things don’t go to plan in the summer

i would recommend uob, notts, loughborough, ucl or bath for econ

bonus points if ur eligible for a contextual offer

Your predicted grades are great, so you have a good chance for Warwick Economics. They mainly look at strong Maths and overall performance, and your profile fits well.
Warwick is a solid choice, and many students with similar grades get offers. If you want one uni to rely on, Warwick is a good and realistic option.
