work experience

As a year 10 student why is it so difficult to find volunteering/work experience. Everyone says you're under 16 or just don't do work experience. I was looking for an architecture work experience

Hi hope you're well!

You can do work experience as long as you're older than 15!

Here on this website are some experience you can seek out

Hello, I'm a year 11 student so it wasn't that long ago that I was in the same position as you, searching for work experience. My best advice would be to ask your form tutor or another teacher at school for ideas. Especially a teacher who teaches a subject you are interested in (maybe a DT teacher or a maths one since you're looking at architecture?). I was really struggling to find something as my family doesn't have many connections to the sorts of jobs I am interested in. My teacher was really helpful as she had some contact details from some people who came to do a talk at my school, I ended up doing work experience there and I really enjoyed it!

Good luck!!
