Degree apprenticeship with a small business

A small company I have done work experience with has offered to fund a degree apprenticeship for me in a university near where I live. I would like to do some form of engineering, but I do not do maths and have recently found out that pretty much every degree is asking for it. I am wondering if there is a way that I could get around this requirement due to it being a degree apprenticeship, so only part time, e.g doing the foundation year the same time as the first year or maybe I wouldn’t need maths because it is a degree apprenticeship. If anyone can offer any advice I would be very grateful as I can’t find much information at all about degree apprenticeships with small businesses.

Hi. Sorry, I don't really have a solution for you but I'm currently struggling with work experience. Which company did you do work experience for? my deadline is in a few days and I still haven't found one. Everyone I've emailed mostly say they don't offer work experience or are full 😭

I'm unsure about the requirements for a degree apprenticeship or how the apprenticeship provider approaches school levers, but I just wanted to say well done for impressing the company so much that they've given you this opportunity.

Whatever you do, don't turn it down!

EDIT: The best practical advice I can give is to discuss your thoughts openly with the company, specifically your contact there if you have one.
