contextual application for oxford

I’ve applied to Oxford for English with A*AB predicted (I can’t convince them to change anything, my application has already been sent), but I do have extreme extenuating circumstances (as in I literally became homeless when mocks started and live in an emergency accommodation that is always loud and stressful + my parents are continually in and out of surgery) given this, do you think it’s likely I’d still get an interview or an offer?

They are likely to be worried because most predictions are optimistic and your teachers are effectively saying you won’t be able to meet the conditions of an offer. No one on here can say whether they might be impressed enough with the rest of your application to shortlist you anyway, but the predicted grades are likely to be an issue.

Would you be eligible for the Foundation Year?
Would you be willing to apply post-qualification if you do better than predicted?

I believe I am eligible for foundation year, but by post qualification do you mean reapplying for 2027?

I meant reapplying after you have your A level grades (not for the foundation year but for the main degree) for 2027 entry. Assuming of course that you beat your grade predictions.

Or you can apply to the foundation year for 2026 entry based on your current predictions.
