Hey I got a 9 in both. I think the most helpful thing is YouTube videos, I found Mrs Whelan's English particularly useful for Lang and the tips she gives are great. Also, i would suggest practicing the 40 markers for language alot, as you'll be surprised by how important they are- if you can get like 36+ in them and do fairly well for the rest of the paper, you're probably looking at a 8-9. Let me know anything else I can help with x

9? in both!? That's BLOODY impressive! Do you have any tips for literature, like paragraph structure or like how many I should write? Usually i just adopt a language paper 2 question 3 style but it doesn't really get me marks 😕 😭 (lit 1 : I'm doing inspector calls + macbeth and for lit 2 : I'm doing a christmas carol + edexcel conflict poetry -
A Poison Tree William Blake
The Destruction of Sennacherib Lord Byron
Extract from The Prelude William Wordsworth
The Man He Killed Thomas Hardy
Cousin Kate Christina Rossetti
Half-Caste John Agard
Exposure Wilfred Owen
The Charge of the Light Brigade Alfred, Lord Tennyson
Catrin Gillian Clarke
War Photographer Carol Ann Duffy
Belfast Confetti Ciaran Carson
The Class Game Mary Casey
Poppies Jane Weir
No Problem Benjamin Zephaniah
What Were They Like? Denise Levertov)

Oh and thanks for the language advice @is759 !!! ❤️*🔥

I did A Taste of Honey and Romeo and Juliet for my lit exam, so I didn't really have many resources to sort of use in my own writing, so idk how well I did it. I generally did 4 paras plus intro and conclusion, ensuring I covered different viewpoints to make my analysis complex. I also tried to include at least 1 alternative explanation of a quote per para to STRENGTHEN and ADD VALUE to my analysis. Also, it's MUCH better to pick a high quality phrase from your text and do strong, focused analysis.
