support needed - struggling with coping with mocks emerging

i have my 2nd mock for business aqa a level in a few days, ive only recovered a bit from when i was mentally struggling with issues such as doing badly on the first mock i did despite studying a ton. right now im spending 12 hours a day studying and my exams in 3 days and i feel like ive done about 1/8 of what im ment to do. on my first business mock i got a B and apparently paper 2 for business is a lot harder so im really stressing, ive been underperforming for ages in business. also i do want to study longer than 12 hours but i get too tired and take breaks to spend time with loved ones - i feel guilty for studying so much too though additionally and feel i need to persist to studying the whole day im awake, please can i have some support and reassurance, i need to get a A in business

Too much revision in too little time. It's likely you started preparing for these mocks too late, instead of starting revision at a reasonable time to fit all the content in.
One thing I would say is that these are mock exams. These are to gauge where you are at, not to show to anybody. It doesn't matter if you do bad in these, as long as you know that you could've done better. Set your sights to the March/April mock series you will likely have, and start preparing for those right after these to have a suitable amount of time to cover all of the content that you feel you are behind on. Seek constant feedback and submit work frequently to your teachers.

Hey @doomspire,

I completely understand why you want to revise so much and I admire your determination, but twelve hours of revision a day is simply too much for anyone.

Whilst mocks are important, they're not as important as your mental health and at the end of the day they don't count towards your final grade. Mocks are inherently supposed to indicate to students the areas they need to improve upon (i.e. content memorisation, time management, knowledge application) - they don't need to be a perfect showcase of knowledge and skill.

Try to get some rest and avoid over-working yourself. Set some realistic expectations for these mocks with your family/teachers and create a plan on how you're going to improve your overall Business grade from here on out. Lastly, be kind to yourself; you have more than enough time to improve, but it's important to do so responsibly.

Hope this helps and best of luck,
Eve (Kingston Rep).
