2026 PhD Applicants to Cambridge (Social Anthropology AND Sociology)

Hey all! I'm an international PhD applicant to 2 programs at Cambridge (as mentioned in the title) for the Michaelmas term 2026. Thought this could be a place for applicants of both programs to talk about the application process as we head into the new year.
Updates: I have submitted my application for the Social Anthropology program on 18 November 2025, and my application is currently "Under Review by department". I have yet to submit the sociology application.
College 1st choice: Wolfson College
College 2nd choice: Hughes Hall

Hi there. I've also applied for the PhD in Sociology. I'm hoping to get an offer, and thanks for making this thread! I am currently under review by Department too, and also submitted before the extended funding deadline which was set on 03 December, 2025.
College 1st choice: Wolfson College (also!)
College 2nd choice: Peterhouse College

Received an email invite for an interview from my prospective supervisor on the 16 December for the PhD in Sociology. Here is a rough timeline.
Application submitted: 25 Nov 2025
Email Invite: 16 Dec 2025
Interview: 14 Jan 2026
DP: (fingers crossed)
Decision: (fingers crossed).

Are there any updates on your Social Anthropology application? I applied as well, and I’ve already spoken with a faculty member who is willing to supervise my research.?
