gcse science combined higher help

im in yr11 and ive been trying to revise for science but i dont get naything. like biology is alright but chemistry and physics are horrible. i try to understand it using videos on cognito and take notes. but when i look at the past paper questions its so bad. i want to get a 9 but i dunno know if i can even get a grade 5. can someone tell me tips on how i can achieve a 9 and how to revise effective mainly for physics and chemistry

im sort of in the same situation
so for phys and chem if u find it hard to do the actual past paper questions do them along side the mark scheme and do quizzes like seneca type and if u find it really hard there this thing called flexi-ai and if u give it science/maths questions its really good at explaining and its free

i think ur issue isnt revision but its the actual questions so of course revise the actual material with flashcards (quizlet or getrevising), mind maps and blurting maybe but u need to get used to answering the questions because you could know all the material but then like u look at the question n ur brain js goes poof and u dk what to do

do you mind saying what exactly you don't understand? I think I could help since I'm doing separate sciences

I got 9-9 last yr. My advice would be not to use flash card or mind maps or anything like that ( as assistance maybe but I never rlly find them helpful in majority of cases ). You must get the CGP revision guide and watch the free science guy, then rewrite the entire book , hopefully during this process you would get to understand most of the concepts . Use a different coloured pen to label the things that u find interesting or confusing and then put those question u asked on ChatGPT or ask your teachers. Also for the notes that you had rewritten from your revision guide, memorise all of them until you can literally read the textbook from your mind. Then start doing past papers , it is very important in helping you to apply concepts in physics, as for chemistry, you can choose to do past papers or not but doing them would give you certain extent of help.

can you provide me an example of a question you remember you had no clue how to understand?Do you know what topics specifically you have problems with?
Balancing equations is quite simply actually, we even have a little saying among my friends:
'if in doubt, put 2'
A lot of the balanced equations at GCSE level are simply adding a 2 or a 3 somewhere.
Make sure that the number of atoms on both sides is equal, because it has to agree with thee law of conservation of mass.

You can but what about application questions? You have to have deep understanding in order to finish them
