What Law Uni should I apply for in the UK?

I am applying for Law in the UK and I am not sure where to apply. I took the LNAT and I have no idea whether it was good or bad. In my practice tests I received between 26–33, but they were simpler than the real thing. My IB score is either 41–42 (766–776 at HL). I was thinking about applying to Durham, King’s, Bristol, Nottingham and Queen Mary. However, I feel as though I may be competitive for UCL or LSE. Is it worth applying there, and where do people think I will get in? I would like to send my UCAS application this week, and I will find out soon whether it is 41 or 42.

Hey there, if you’re applying for Law, LSBU is definitely an option you can include, especially if you’re looking for a course that feels practical and based in London. I can’t speak about other unis, but I can tell you what Law at LSBU is like so you can decide if it matches what you want.

The Law degree here focuses a lot on real legal experience. One of the biggest perks is the on campus Legal Advice Clinic, where students help real clients under supervision. It’s a great way to build confidence and get proper hands on experience while you study. The lecturers are really supportive and many of them have worked in the legal field, so what you learn feels useful and connected to actual practice.

Your IB grades sound strong, and LSBU looks at you as a whole applicant, not just one score or test result. If you show motivation and a genuine interest in law, you would be a strong candidate.

If you want to study in London, gain practical skills early on and be taught by people with real professional experience, LSBU could be a good fit for your application choices.

You’re always welcome to explore LSBU further. You can book a campus tour https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/study/study-at-lsbu/open-days/campus-tours to get a proper feel for our spaces, and you can chat with our current students on Unibuddy https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/student-life/chat to get an insight into the courses you’re curious about.
