Warwick Economics Vs LSE Economics and Economic History

GCSE : 9999998888
A-Level Predicted: A*A*A*b in Maths, Physics, Economics and AS Further (this is the b)

Hi guys,

I have applied to LSE Econ and Econ History AND Warwick Economics and if I were to get an offer for both which one should I choose.

I should start by saying that I want to enter Finance (possibly Investment banking but everyone on the planet wants that aswell) but I dont know which course would be better for that goal. I understand that LSE has a great alumni network but I fear that the history part of my course would mean that I would not learn the sufficient quantitative ability to work effectively within finance. Am I overthinking or will it be fine?

LSE is by far the better university both for recruiting and learning. However, it's harder to get into.
In terms of Finance/IB/PE internship seeking, the course doesn't matter as much as your own preparedness, so you'll be perfectly fine in that sense. They don't care what course you take.

LSE is much harder to get in to out of the two, also LSE are very very maths heavy and tend to look for high TMUA score (roughly above a 7.0). If you were given an offer from both, take LSE if you are more concerned regarding future career etc as a degree from LSE is very desirable amongst firms.
