Re-applied for SFE

Hello,
I just started my second year at uni and unfortunately I also applied late for my SFE this year because I had issues with my application last year and I ended up with a Migrant worker application as I was out of work. Now I am working full time and I can qualify for SFE, tuition and maintenance loan so I just sent my application via post as I am not able to apply on the website directly(it shows me no application availability for undergraduate) . It has been a month since I sent my application through post and I have yet to receive anything, nor can I see my application being added on my online SFE account.
I cannot make a chat to talk online as this option doesn't pop up for my account anymore, nor can I call as I just saw news about lines being full and not to call.
So I just started uni today, and have no idea about my application and my school is asking me about it.
Please, any suggestions any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi @Xenevia,

I'm really sorry to hear about your struggles with student finance. Sometimes it can take up to 6-8 weeks to hear back.
In the meantime I would call student finance on 0300 100 0607. Their lines open at 8am and close at 7pm. I recommend calling earlier in the day before 4pm as that's when the lines tend to get busy. When speaking to them, tell them about you situation and they should be able to advise you better the progress of your application.

I hope this helps.

Hi there, as previously advised for assistance with an application update it would be best to contact us over the phone on the number provided and an advisor will be able to assist you with this. Thanks, Stephen.

Hi,
Thank you for your answer. I managed to get an update and I am now confused. So now since I am working full time and I have pre-settle status until January 2026 when it will switch to settle status, does that not make me qualified for tuition and maintenance loan? The update i received is that I completed the PR1 form instead of EUPR1a form. As far as I can tell, in EUPR1a form there is no questions I can fill in about the amount of maintenance loan I can request for cost of living. ("Migrant workers: EU students who hold pre-settled status and are also classified as migrant workers may be eligible for full student finance, including the maintenance loan.")
I find this confusing as before, for Foundation year and year 1 I completed regular PR1 forms.

Hi there. To apply as a Migrant Worker, it's a PN1 form we require (not a PR1), and you will need to provide your employment evidence (your contract and 3 moths of recent payslips). When you gain your settled status, you can apply for the Maintenance Loan and Tuition Fee without having to remain in employment to qualify. Thanks, Leah.
