Harper and Keele 2026 entry applicants.

I wanted to start a thread for H&K applicants hoping to start in 2026!! I had my interview today. I’m really not sure how to feel about it. How did everyone else’s interviews go? I thought this would be a good place for people to put when they find out about offers too, because I’ve seen it can be very random!

Hey! I also did my interview recently. I found one of my questions particularly challenging - and I found out that someone else had a much, much easier question on that same station!

I hope the interview went well for you!!

I dont really have any tips. They do different questions for each person at each station so theres not a definitive method of what to research/learn.

But, you should really look up the RCVS code of conduct, the day one competencies, and keep up to date with all the happenings that are going on in the vet and animal sectors right now. Also, try and look up the procedures that vets have to use (such as how to report outbreaks, how to report abuse, how to report a collegue for misconduct, how to lay out a consultation) - but dont worry about properly learning every little bit, just have a rough overview on it.

Thank you! I’m just really not sure! It’s hard to tell how they are marking you! I only really want to go to H&K and kinda put all my eggs in one basket as I’m applying post grad with a vet bio degree from harper. Can only hope and pray now 🤞😂

I have done mine! It was fun honestly and I enjoyed the challenge even though I was nervous the whole week before. I think I hit the main points they were looking for at each station but I don't know if it will be enough 😅 Not the end of the world I'll try again next year if not! I am sure you did fab! xx

To be honest it isn't something you can prep for. Trust me I prepped for weeks and it wasn't helpful. Everyone is in the same boat though! 🙃

I'm in the same boat! Final year vet physio at Harper, my only realistic option for vet med is HK considering factors like location etc. Best of luck to you!

That's really normal, and I think you are probably underestimating how well you did (as a fellow overthinker). Give yourself a break and enjoy all the bits you did well. Your brain tends to focus on the smaller worries rather than the bigger picture. It's usually the strong applicants that worry more! MMIs are meant so that one station going not as well (once again I doubt you were 'bad' at it) does not define any other station ☺️x

The answer is you must not ask for, or share any interview details at all. This is TSR rules and people who do risk losing their uni offer

Thank you for also stating this so people are aware why we cannot answer the questions. Much appreciated! 🙂
