Private candidate reference ucas

I am a resit student and was wondering if my application would be viewed less favourably because my reference will completed by a private tutor. Could anyone clarify this for me plz?

Please don’t worry, being a resit student or having your reference completed by a private tutor will not make your application less favourable.
Universities understand that applicants come from many different pathways, and private tutors are fully acceptable as referees as long as they can comment on your academic ability, commitment, and suitability for the course.
Your application will be assessed on its overall strength, including your personal statement, predicted/achieved grades, and relevant experience.
