Oxford or Imperial for a career in academia?

Hello I'm getting my bachelor's in the coming year and I need to pick one of the two. I'd like to specialize in medical biotech/microbiology. I've got an application to biological sciences at oxford and biotech at imperial. Which degree is better for a start in academia? Additionally I saw that biotech at imperial has a "year in research/industry" study option. Do you get to pick between research and industry or are you just assigned one?

If you value specialization in biotech and the placement year that Imperial offers, go for that. However, there is a reason that Oxford ranks highest in research output in the UK. The prestige that comes with it is also very appealing if you would like to pivot elsewhere in the future.
