Question about the online interview for Diagnostic Radiography at Salford

I have an online interview soon and it says that it's a group interview, I'm a bit confused by what that means and how it would work. Can someone please explain what that means and how long the online interview usually takes.

Hey!

Great to hear you've got an interview with us, congratulations! If your interview email advises your interview is an online one you'll just need to follow the instructions on there to join the session on the day of your interview. Usually our interviews (both online and on campus) will involve a group session to begin with where the academic staff deliver a talk on the course and what its like to study at Salford, after which you'll move into the assessment section of the interview. The way this works can differ each year - I'd recommend reaching out to our enquiries team on [email protected] or 0161 295 0000 (option 1) and they can have a chat through more specific interview information than we can here!

You can usually expect healthcare interviews to last for a number of hours, however seeing as you'll be doing yours online its worth double checking with our enquiries team too 😊

Good luck with your interview! Remember - be yourself, show your interest and passion for the subject, and try to take a pause before answering any questions to help gather your thoughts!

if you don't mind me asking did you get accepted? I got an offer for diagnostics radiography at salford

Good luck with your interview! My best interview tips for healthcare programmes are to make sure you're being proactive and engaging in the group task sections (try to find a balance between contributing enthusiastically and being conscientious to others - shows really great communication and listening skills, which are a necessity for Radiographers!) and showing your personal interest, passion and knowledge in the individual interview. Don't worry about being nervous (everyone is!), just remember to take a breath before answering any questions, repeat what they've asked you in your head and try to link back to it at the end of your answer/point. You can also bring your personal statement in with you if you'd find that helps - can sometimes be a helpful prompt if you completely forget where you were going with something!
